I bought a new guitar from an ebay dealer who has 100% feedback..the guitar came with the wrong neck on it.. either a factory mistake or altered..anyway when I contacted him he said he would send shipping labels and for me to send it back to the manufacturer instead of getting ebay involved..

No do not comply.

That is for the seller to do, not the buyer.

Open a eBay request for item not as described.

I think the seller should take care of this instead of wanting me to send it to the factory "who knows how long that would take" .I think I should send it back to him for an exchange or refund..Im pretty easy but this has got me concerned

Since you  and  the OP are not an authorized distributors  or representatives for this guitar there will be no  warranty service performed on this  guitar.

Just open an  Item Not As Described case through the resolution link at the bottom.

You need to file a request for a return using a not as described reason.  The seller is responsible for the return shipping.  It is up to the seller to deal with his supplier.
