If the buyer opened an item not received case, just enter the tracking number into the resolution center. If you don't have a tracking number, you need to refund the buyer.

Oh, so you're the buyer and not the seller. Wait until after the last estimated delivery date. If it hasn't arrived, open an item not received case.

But OP's title is "return an item" and he was given an RMA number. Something is amiss here and if he has an RMA then a return was requested.

I'm in the US, you're in Sri Lanka so YMMV on this answer.
First, did you open a return on eBay and did you return it with tracking?
If the answer is no to either one of those, you might be out of luck.
If the return is an international return, it can take some time for it to arrive back (30 days or more).
If you just asked for a return and the seller gave you an RMA # and you just returned it without tracking, you have no choice but to wait and hope the seller gets it back and refunds you.
