return item and problem with buyer

Hey,

I have a little problem with buyer and I'm not sure what can I do.  I'm sorry english isn't my first language. In the middle of shipping buyer changed his mind and decided he would refuse the item and return it back to me.  I'm based in Poland and all the items are also shipped from Poland. Shipping to the US usually takes like two weeks, so I tried to talk him out of the return politely. I also have "returns not accepted" on all my listings but in a good faith I accepted the return but informed buyer I will wait with the refund until I get the item back. Return item is still in transit according to USPS tracking. Unfortunately, buyer turned out to be a real trouble-maker and wants the money now, he also threatens he will notify eBay about the case, bla bla bla...  He also didn't pay for the return shipping so I guess I will have to pay it once the item arrives and deduct the cost from the refund which I'm sure will cause another problem for a buyer.

What if the item returns back damaged ?

My question is how can I protect from buyer like this and from negative feedback after the return ?

I really try to work this out the best I can otherwise I wouldn't accept the return.

Thanks

If the buyer outright refuses the package he loses his buyer's protection. However your "no returns" policy is useless if the buyer decides to open an item not as described case if he decides to accept the package. That means that if you still refuse a return in that case the buyer will get a refund and will not have to return the item so you lose both the money and the item. The sad truth is that ebay sides with their buyers 99% of the time so sellers are at the mercy of the buyers even if the buyer lies and says the item was not as described when in fact it was a remorse return. Good luck.
