Just had a bad experience where the freight forwarder lost my package, and blamed me for it.
I spent hours following up on tracking, and got the geo-track the package to the freight forwarding address from my post office manager.
I wondered what the point was of insurance on these packages, since they may get "lost" on the last leg anyway?
Just ranting here...

If the package had a delivery scan at the freight forwarder, it is not your issue.
Insurance is for if the item gets lost by USPS and never delivered to the address.
Or if USPS runs over the package.

If it arrived at the buyer's freight forwarder and you have tracking to prove it, as far as eBay is concerned your responsibility ends and eBay will protect you from an INR claim.
In the past, some have had the item delivered to a freight forwarder and eBay covered them but the buyer did a chargeback on their credit card and got their money back that way. eBay recently changed how they handle chargebacks; perhaps someone here has had experience with this new system when a buyer used a freight forwarder and did a chargeback and can chime in with their experience.
The insurance you bought from the post office covered the item from the time you mailed it and it arrived safely at the freight forwarder. If you have the tracking information proving delivery to the freight forwarder, save it to show eBay.
