Hello there!
New to selling.
Under 'Shipping Preferences' > 'Combined shipping rules', when I am trying to set a flat shipping rule, when I click save, it is shown "Something went wrong. Please try again.".
Can anyone advise what to do in order to allow buyers to request for combined shipping before they pay? I recall buyers were able to do that previously. Yet, after I have set up some shipping policies for my items, it is not possible now.
Thank you!

LOL ebay is clueless when it comes to combined shipping. Once upon a time it was plain and simple, easily understood by both buyers and sellers....a buyer comes to your store, finds numerous items he actually wants commits to them, which would show up on my sold manifest unpaid, click on send an invoice and I could combine accurately the total and send it to the buyer for payment...the buyer is happy, the seller is happy. THE ONLY ISSUE ARISING was if the buyer turns into a npb non paying buyer. Today it is not possible with the mess that has been created at least on ebay motors side. Now a buyer has to use a cart that he assumes the seller knows about, puts the items in the cart and sees the more items he wants the shipping gets out of control, see ebay adds each shipping retail to the next item...example: 1 hot rod mag. item 2.00, shipping 6.80...total 8.80 for 1 but order two different issues and ebay adds 6.80 to the 1st 6.80 shipping now making 13.60 to ship 2 hot rod magazines that should be no more than 7.50...a 6.00+ overcharge with no way for the buyer to request a combined total unless he actually messages you asking for it, which you still cannot do as ebay blocks the sellers also. For those who do not message you, you have lost that sale as the buyer has run away fast as he knows he is getting ripped on shipping, and worse yet most likely will blame the seller and never come back! Those that do message you, you have to convince to trust you that you will refund the ebay overcharges. I used the hot rod mag as earlier this year tried to buy 5 from a seller, and shipping was over 35.00, now this was before the postal increase, and messaged the seller who was entirely clueless at how and why, yet welcomed to combine it but no idea how or how to figure out the refund amount or how to do it....bottom line sale lost....buyer and seller neither having a good "ebay experience" due to no fault of their own....the communication between buyer and seller on combined shipping, the cart, etc is virtually impossible and no clear understanding for a buyer at how to get combined shipping.
