quick question about someone trying to change shipping after the auction has ended.

so i just sold an item at auction and i always put in my post to ask questions and refer to pictures before hand. He doesnt message me anything. Then after he wins the auction he goes on to say he always pays low and free shipping on what he had bought from me. Is asking to lower the price now.

so im in a dilemma and have not had to deal with this once. so if anyone could give me any input that would be great!! thank you for your time.

Re: quick question about someone trying to change shipping after the auction has ended.

Dear buyer,

Thank you for your winning bids.   The bids were for the item price only. The shipping price was posted in the listing and is firm.  If you no longer wish to complete this transaction please let me know and I can offer it to the underbidder.

A Small Flat Rate Box is $7.15.  Not sure if that'll be cheaper than 2 first class packages.  Depends on how much they weigh/cost.  If it is, then you can offer them that in your reply too.

What this buyer is trying to do does not fly with me.  If they wanted to pay less, then they bid less - and run the risk of not winning the item.

Was it for an Auction or a Fixed Price listing?  Were there multiple bids?

The only thing I see that you recently sold is a FP listing with Free Shipping (It may not have updated showing your most recent sale.)  It would help to know in order to phrase a good response.

Re: quick question about someone trying to change shipping after the auction has ended.

i feel like i may be able to make it cheaper if i can fit the two items into a small flat rate box. i used usps first class and just weighed it and measured. have not ever used usps flat rate. Another question if i decide to go flate rate for him and in my posting it was listed as usps first class. if he pays do i just refund through paypal? if he over pays the shipping if i go flat rate and its cheaper? only way i see its cheaper for him if i get this into a small flat rate if not hes paying less for the usps first class shipping because he said its like 10 dollas.
