question about global shipping program tracking

I shipped an item with the global shipping program.  It was delivered to KY.  There was a delivery exception and then an attempt at delivery in the UK on January 14 (see tracking below).  I messaged the buyer with this information but have heard nothing back and there has been no movement ever since.  Do I need to do anything else?  Is this delivered?  Will it come back to me?  If so, hopefully not with postage due!  Any help would be appreciated.

question about global shipping program tracking

Well you never know, @evry1nositswindy. It could be the one-per-year courtesy credit that eBay will sometimes give buyers. I assume the item wasn't too expensive?

The buyer may have had proof it wasn't delivered to them. You don't really know if the buyer got a notice from CS asking for proof and if they had a document from the courier saying it was mis-delivered.

You were covered just as I said you would be - and since the buyer got a courtesy credit you don't have to worry about a chargeback. Let it go and move on to the next. 😊

Attempted delivery is supposed to be same as 'delivered' and seller is not on the hook.

Supposed to.

Doesn't always work that way.

You don't need to do anything. If it's sent back it will be to the GSP center, not to you. GSP will liquidate the merch. If the buyer files an INR you won't be responsible. Should that happen, contact CS and ask for the GSP team. They'll take care of it and close it out in your favor.

But, if a payment dispute is filed, that's a different story. Don't worry about that unless it happens. It would be a waste of your time and energy on a 'what if' scenario.

Thanks, I thought that was the case.  I messaged the buyer again, trying to be proactive.

question about global shipping program tracking

@wastingtime101  There was a second delivery attempt but still not delivered.  How many more times will they attempt delivery?  This has just been a horrible month for me as a seller.  So many problems.

It depends on the local carrier @evry1nositswindy. You've done what you can and there's no point babysitting it. Don't stress until/unless some kind of claim is filed. If an INR is filed through eBay you'll be covered.

question about global shipping program tracking

@wastingtime101  It was delivered 1/28/2022 (3 days late) and the scan for the GSP through Hermes UK says secured delivery to household.  The delivery time stamp is within the hours of the scan that says when delivery will be attempted.    The buyer promptly opened and INR case saying it definitely was not received even though tracking says it was.  My funds are on hold.  The case is on hold per eBay and they haven't asked me for any info yet.

Between this, the other open case with the buyer stating I charged him twice, and low sales, I am so stressed out.  So far January is lousy.

You're covered for any INR claim filed on eBay. Unless it's a large sum of money and you're desperate to get the hold released, then wait it out. There's no reason to stress over it right now.

January only has 2 days left. Get in the mindset of a fresh start.

question about global shipping program tracking

@wastingtime101  Well the case was found in my favor, but eBay issued the buyer a "refund without any impact to you".  It says it doesn't count against my seller performance evaluation.  Great.  But...what message does this send?  Yes, tracking says delivered, but we will give you your money back anyway.  Not a new buyer and not a low FB buyer.  Can't wait to see if they leave FB for me.  I know it will be removed if it is bad, but if it is good then it is proof they got the item.

@wastingtime101  Refunded by eBay and they still left negative feedback.  I can see the symbol on my shipped and awaiting feedback page, but I don't see it on my feedback profile.  I can't see it on their profile either.  It must have been removed by eBay.  Mark that up as a seller protection!

Yep. The rating symbol will appear on your orders page even after the FB was removed/blocked from your FB page.
