purchasing additional shipping insurance no longer an option for ups and fedex shipping

There is no option to purchase additional shipping insurance when I chose fedex or ups shipping. The option only appears for usps shipping. I believe this is a bug...

I tried on mobile and desktop, in advanced shipping options not basic

What services, specifically?  You can purchase additional coverage for most UPS and FedEx services on eBay, but on not the most economical services (like UPS Ground Saver and FedEx Ground Economy).

the standard fedex ground or ups ground services. Additional liability option only comes up for usps services, with usps insurance or shipcover

Maybe your item is blocked from additional coverage for a reason - like category eligibility.

I can add UPS/FedEx coverage without issue on eligible categories.

Your listing offered USPS Ground Advantage on that item. You can't ship by UPS or Fedex.
