problem returning an item

hello

 

i have returnd an item i bought, shipped it back and seller has picked it up. but it still says in transit on the return. i thought that the seller was going to say its deliverd? or am i wrong? what to do?

Actually, the seller has nothing to do with the tracking.  It is the carrier that marks the item delivered in the tracking.

The seller doesn't do anything on their end. The status shown on eBay is automatically updated based on the tracking information and there are often delays with it updating to delivered. Once the package reaches the seller, they have 6 business days to refund you. I would call customer service in a few days if the status hasn't updated yet.
