print return shipping label?

I received an item that was significantly not as described.  I requested a return, and the seller authorized the return.  The returns detail page shows "The seller has initiated a refund of $102.50 to your PayPal account and it should clear within 6 days. If it doesn't, you have until Jun 15, 2018, to open an eBay Money Back Guarantee case."  I also got an email from ebay to print the shipping label, but when I click on the print label button, it takes me to the returns detail page, with no option to actually print.

Has the seller not authorized a return label?  Is the return label waiting on the refund to clear?

When you click on return details, normally the label will be represented as one of the photos, at least with sellers who know what they are doing. There are two photo slots, one for the seller to place something and one for the buyer to place something.

"Photos from your seller" and "Your photos".

There should also be a log entry that the seller created a return label.

Neither of these are dependent on whether or not funds cleared or have even been refunded at all. In the example I've shown below, I have not received the refund yet as I have yet to ship the item back.

If you have not received the label after 3 business days have passed, you can ask ebay to step in as that option will become available on your return page.

There is no return label. The seller issued a refund. You won't be able to ask ebay to step in and help either, they won't issue you a label after a refund was issued.

When the seller issued a refund, the option to print the label went away. You are no longer required to return the item. if the seller wants it back, he will have to purchase a label and email it to you. You can contact him and ask if he wants the item back. he may have decided that paying return shipping wasn't worth it.

The OP won't have the option to ask ebay to step in after 3 business days because the seller issued a refund. Once a refund is issued, there is no option to print a label. The system must assume the seller doesn't want the item back plus a refund to ebay means the buyer is no longer required to return the item.....not sure if this meddling by ebay is a good thing or not....hmmmm..

It seems the seller has elected to refund without a return.  JMO

Now the seller has sent me a message as follows:

"Shipping label - - Hi Stephen did eBay send you a shipping label? If not then I will send you one. Please let me know. Hope you have a great memorial day weekend. Thank you,  . . .."

No, I've not gotten a shipping label.  Obviously, if she sends me one, I don't return the item until her Paypal refund is final and not "pending."  I don't want the computer and am glad to send it back if that's the end of it.  But the seller is really incompetent.  Her listing described the computer as a 14 inch Acer Chromebook of a specific model.  She sent me 11.6 inch Acer Chromebook of a different model.  If she somehow sends me a shipping label, is there any way sending it back could backfire and cause more trouble?  I don't want to deal with her any more.

Sending it back can’t backfire on you. eBay actually makes you return the item before a refund issued but in this case the seller issued a refund first so just send the laptop back if she sends a label

It continues.  Now I get this:

"Hi I spoke with EBAY and because I refunded the full amount including shipping you are responsible for sending it back. You can to go EBAY Purchase History and print a return label. Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you . .."

And continues.  She sent me a message with a photo of a shipping label for me to use.  Great, except that it's a shipping label from her to me.
