post office says buyers address is not a correct address

So I copied the address as shown on buyers account. The post office says it is not an address in their system. Any ideas??

Sometimes they can be picky about abbreviations.   St vs Saint in a city name, for instance.  Try plugging it into the ZIP Code finder at usps.com, sometimes that will make suggestions.

Also try to paste the address into google search box and you can see if such an address does exist. When you say post office says, do you mean an employee at the counter or the software does not accept the address. I had a few cases when the buyer insisted on their address being correct, in such a case I overrode the software

Contact the buyer and confirm it. Check the PayPal transaction to see if their PP address is the same. Don't ship until you're sure.

er, um ah... isn't the PP address is irrelevant these days?  Seller is required to ship to the address on the order, which, if PP is used, feeds from the eBay order to PP.   So someone can send a gift just by changing the address on the order and that would be different from their eBay registered address.

But contacting the buyer is a good idea.  I have done that stating I was checking and wanted to make sure with all of the ID stuff going around.  Buyers have been positive and appreciative of the fact someone was paying attention.
