no tracking number

There are some categories where a seller might not use a tracking number, though it is in his best interest to do so. Stamp sellers will mail their sold postage stamps in just a regular envelope without tracking. And sometimes a seller may overlook adding the tracking number to a transaction if he didn't purchase his postage thru eBay. What did you purchase?

No, it is not a scam, nor is it a cause for concern or being afraid.  it could be that they just haven't gotten back to posting the tracking number yet.  it could be they forgot, or they lost the number.  None of this affects you.    Keep an eye on the expected delivery date and come back if the item is not here by the day it is due.  Other than that, there is nothing to worry about.

I see you are in Jamaica. When purchasing postage for international packages, tracking services may be cost prohibitive. What country is your seller in?

It's abnormal, but it doesn't mean you are being scammed.

Tracking numbers are for the seller's protection, not the buyer's.  The buyer has the money back guarantee.

There is an estimated delivery date on the item you bought.  If the package doesn't arrive by that date, you have 30 days to file an item not received complaint. If the seller cannot prove delivery via a tracking number with a delivered scan you get your money back.

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.
