My eBay labels used to print with enough of a margin all around the text so I could easily tape the label to the package without taping over the bar code. Recently it started printing the label in the upper left corner of the page with a left margin of 1/16th of an inch - not enough room for secure taping. Any suggestions as to what I can do to get it to print with a normal sized margin? I have tried changing my printer settings but nothing works.

It depends on your browser, but it will be in the browser settings/preferences. You can look it up. Go to Google and type in: how to open pdf files with adobe and not [browser name]

Check your browser settings and make sure PDF files are opening with Adobe and not your browser's built in reader.
@rfmtm may have more tips if my above advice does not solve the issue for you @1995camrich .

If Wastingtime101's suggestion didn't work come back with the OS, browser, and printer model you are using.
Does the label look correct in the preview?
A screenshot of the preview page will also help to find the problem.

Don't know about your printing, but as long as it's clear there's no reason not to tape over the barcode. Personally I make sure to cover at least half of it so if the label gets wet and smears the BC will still be readable.

taping over the barcode is not an issue if using clear tape.
yes the "warning" is there not to do it, but the scanners are fully capable of scanning a barcode that is under clear tape. It's a non-issue.
Years and years ago USPS scanners would sometimes have an issue reading a label because of the reflection requiring another attempt at a different angel, but those are relics of the past. I expect other carrier equipment is also capable of reading the labels.
I have fully "clear taped" over thousands of bar codes.

I appreciate all your answers and I'm sorry it's taken several days for me to reply. Life got in the way, as it tends to do sometimes.

I'm going to try rfmtm's suggestion.

I decided the simplest is to do what you and buyselljack2016 offered up. I'll tape over the label not worrying about the bar code. I like easy! Thank you both.
