how to send buyer a return shipping label without going through eBay returns

I have a buyer who wants to return an item which is okay with me but I want to send a shipping label.

I do not wish to involve eBay.

How to do this?

I'm going to try other ways as suggested tomorrow.

I will go through eBay if necessary but just do not wish to unless necessary.

The email address is with the buyer information but I'm using eBay messages as this is not really a 'secret'.

She received a package that was similar to the one she ordered and I am getting ready to send her a replacement.

She will take it to the post office but I was in hopes I could do it this way.

Thanks to everybody for all your suggestions.

Buy a label through someone other than eBay. Stamps.com, Pirateship, Paypal, etc. When you get to the part where you would normally print it, save it as a PDF file instead. Then you can send it as an email attachment to your buyer. They can then print it out and return the package.

You can also go to usps.com and make an account. Make label there and as stated save file and send in attachment. I have even sent in a photo through ebay my messages. It can be difficult to print from there but can be done.

Thanks - I went to eBay first and they have this on their site

"Here’s how to send your own label from the View return details section:"

But when I went to eBay 'view return section' there was no way to link to print a label - I suppose you have to start a return with eBay before you can do that.

I'm going to try all other suggestions.

Thanks

How do you get the buyer’s email address? It is against TOS to ask for buyer’s email address. They monitor the message system.

Theres other trickery but cant explain here. That's a number of ways to do it and then to send in ebay. Best is right in a message as a photo.

Why go thru all of the extra work when you can just tell the buyer to go to their my eBay page and click on the return this item button? I do this when someone wants to return something. Never had a problem. I just approve and wait for item to come back. I offer a no question asked returns.
