I had a buyer who requested to return an item because it didn't fit (pants), and requested that I pay for the return shipping label. I clearly state in my listings that I don't accept returns unless the item is different than described. Buyer said they love the pants but wanted a bigger size. When I declined the return the buyer left negative feedback. eBay removed the negative feedback comment (after contacting them), but left the negative feedback so my rating is now 98%.
How do I get eBay to remove the negative score so I'm back to 100% and I don't have a negative rating for my most recent sale? I'm a long time buyer and seller on eBay and if this is the policy, I will take my business elsewhere.
Shouldn't I have protection as a seller so as to not have to deal with unreasonable buyers who demand something I don't provide? I provide pictures of my item with measurements (length & width of apparel) to prevent this from happening but now it happened...

Depending on the reason why the feedback comment was removed that negative rating is probably there to stay. Read more here.
"We may remove a feedback comment that violates eBay policy, such as containing profanity or links, but the feedback rating or any defects aren't necessarily removed"
"The feedback comment contained inappropriate content (such as profanity) as described in our Member-to-member contact policy. While inappropriate comments will be removed, the rating will remain"

I think it is a bit ridiculous that sellers aren't protected more. What is the point of having the option in a listing to say you don't accept returns if you basically have to accept them because someone can give you negative feedback otherwise? I don't sell a ton of stuff on eBay so a single negative feedback has the potential to hurt me a lot. I've emailed eBay already but will call them tomorrow if I don't hear back. Is there a best number to call to get through the customer service? Or is there a specific number for sellers?
Thanks

Buyers can leave negative feedback for the seller but the seller no longer is able to leave negative feedback for a buyer that is unreasonable, A one way street, I have a salutation like this happen to me too, Buyer purchased a magazine with was still unopened and plastic, when it arrived, buyer claimed that there was a slit in the plastic, yet the envelope in the photo he sent back showed no damage, he wanted a 50% discount, I said no and that I would refund him the FULL PRICE PLUS SHIPPING, he kept the item and left negative feedback and e-bay would not back me up. I stopped selling on e-bay for a year now and use them minimally. Also, when a buyer does not pay, you can not leave them neg feedback, E-bay tells you that they put a note on their account! How do we know that since we don't see any disciplinary action against the buyer in meeting their obligation of buying from e-bay
