i have someone interested in an exhaust system i have its about 4'x1'x2' feet diameter.
i have a few questions
1- can this be shipped via ups ground or do i need to ship another way?
2-does this need to be boxed or can i simply tape a shipping label to it?
3-i seen these paper squares with metal twisty ties you tape the shipping label too then twisty tie it to item
but cant seem to find them anywhere? do i need these are would simply taping the label to muffler suffice? if not where do you get those metal twisty tie square paper things for shipping labels?

You can ship without a box as long as there are no sharp edges or that they are covered. There is often an extra charge for un boxed items. There is also the issue of the shipping label falling off in transit. I suggest you wrap it with cardboard from cut up boxes and tape it up well. Yes, UPS will ship it. It will have an over size extra charge. Be sure to check the UPS site for the shipping charge. It can be very expensive.

Just as a guess, UPS would be my choice.
On the other hand, what you're selling might be better sold as Local Pickup Only. If you ship it and it arrives damaged, you're on the hook for a full refund, either with or without paying extra to have it returned to you first.

I would be making my own custom sized box for the item and packing about an 1/2" To 3/4" of cardboard inside the box around the item.
UPS Ground would be the selection.
