I bought 2 panini megaboxes from 1 seller , the megabox is $140 each and shipping is $8 each
But I only received 1 box from the package which tracking number had been provided by the seller
so I open a return request " does not match the seller's description" and select the affected quantity is one. so the total amount for the refund is $148
Then the seller does not show any useful evidence and i asked ebay to step in.
ebay asked me to return the item and provide the tracking number ?
but how can I do that ?
if I return the box I received , i will get only $148 because the refund for the return is only $148 right ? I still lost the money for 1 box .
if i do not return and fill in the track number, ebay will close my request
how i can do with it ?

You followed bad advice, and wasted your time. In the same way your seller used tracking to pretend 2 boxes were shipped, your return tracking number will only get the refund amount you requested, eBay doesn't care what you return.
When you selected 1 of 2 to return, eBay calculated half the refund in the Refund Summary.
So the total is $140 times 2. And your refund is $140 plus half the total shipping. And that's all you'll get when the return tracking number shows delivered, even if you returned everything you received.
- Your seller only has single-digit feedback, not a top-rated seller that can issue a 50% refund.
- The case was escalated, so you got a refund as soon as the return was delivered.

You have opened the Return request because you only received half of your order... correct?
Yes... you'll need to return what was sent to you (your half-order) to get a full refund of your entire order. The seller can't prefill a quantity... your order was for 2 units. If this info came through messages, disregard it... you're interested in what notes are in the Case.
Your seller will provide (and pay for) your return shipping label for a claim of 'Doesn't match description and photos'. When that label is printed, eBay loads the return tracking number into the case for you.

When you indicate @101_98 how many items are in the return, you are only getting a refund for that fraction after your seller receives the return.
And when that fraction was missing, you enclose just the packing slip in a box, affix the return label, and drop the package in the mail. YOU DO NOT RETURN EVERYTHING you received because eBay had you select the affected quantity: One, that's missing.
Also, because eBay stepped in, eBay will force a refund a few minutes after tracking shows Delivered back to the seller, with no time to stop the refund.

LOL, no you are thinking rationally not like eBay! 😀
Then the seller does not show any useful evidence and i asked ebay to step in.
eh sellers don't have to provide useful information. Just do not let this seller stall you such that the time to act under the Money Back Guarantee (MBG) expires.
ebay asked me to return the item and provide the tracking number ?
on a Not As Described case (NAD) the seller is responsible to provide return shipping! DO NOT pay for shipping your self. Seller has 3 business days from when you file the NAD to provide a label. If seller does not provide the label in that time nor refund, ask eBay to step in and they will either refund you or send a label.
but how can I do that ?
Sadly unless the seller figures out to provide a partial refund, you will have to return the one item you did get in order for the process to work. Send an empty package back and you are on the hook for mail fraud, etc.
if I return the box I received , i will get only $148 because the refund for the return is only $148 right ? I still lost the money for 1 box .
No, you will get a refund for the entire order.
if i do not return and fill in the track number, ebay will close my request
Yes, if you do not use the provided label with in 10 days the seller will ask the case to be closed in their favor and you will lose your money. eBay MBG is the STRONGEST protection on the net, so use it and do not mess it up - ask more questions if you need to.
how i can do with it ?
Follow the MBG procedure!

thanks man it helps me a lot
I have already printed the return label and sent the box back to the seller

You are welcome. I hope you handed the box to an employee at the shipping company and got an acceptance scan and a receipt as that is your proof of shipping? Gotta hit that deadline eBay has for you to return the item. Make sure the tracking number is uploaded to the case file.
Watch the tracking for the package. Once the item is shown as delivered to the seller then they have a 2-day clock to refund you - 100% of what you paid. If that doesn't happen (time frame) you go back into the case and ask eBay to 'step in.'
Here is the eBay Money Back Guarantee - might be useful to take a gander so you know "the rules?"
Now this is where things may get dicey, if you have an "interesting" seller. If they are a top-rated seller they may try to issue you a partial refund claiming they sent two and got one back. Also they may try to claim some kind of fraud. But hey, both of those scenarios are just SPECULATION and not reality at this point. Just be aware or that possibility, so it isn't a shock IF it happens.
IF you get less than a full 100% refund, come back here and start a new thread and we will help you. DO NOT communicate further with the seller as they have demonstrated some unwillingness to behave. But right now, look for a full refund and don't stress what "might" happen.
Hope this works out for you! 😎👍
