I moved last month, and I got the the 4 colors of ebay tape last quarter and used them to color code my boxes so the movers easily knew which room to put each box into.
It is sort of thin like the older ebay tape but it does the job, you just need to use a bit more of it. I think it looks less cheesy than the original ebay tape but I still find myself using clear tape I buy myself for ebay customers. What I did not use while moving is my "backup" tape.
But if anyone plans on moving anytime soon I highly recommend doing what I did.
