This Is A follow Up As to what Happen after telling My Postal Clerk About the online buying of ebay labels of first class weight up to 15.9 onces Well he stated that the ebay labels did not say commercial weight on them That 13 ounces was the cut off any help would be thankful

I'd speak to his postmaster because clearly this guy has not been properly trained. The label doesn't have to say commerical postage. It was purchased online therefore you paid the online rate which is the equivelant of the commercial rate.

The postal clerks act as if they are little individual post offices. My little P.O. will charge me $10.00 if I have FRAGILE written on a package, but I receive packages all the time with fragile written on them and the seller never pays for it!!!!

Actually, if you purchase a label online from eBay it WILL say "COM BAS RATE," so the postal clerk in OP's case is doubly wrong.  I just shipped out a 15.9 oz First Class package today and got absolutely zero flack from my post office.

Since USPS counter clerks sell only RETAIL postage, some of them probably are not familiar with commercial rate pricing. The First Class Package Service label does say ComBasRate - No Surcharge. "Com" means "commercial." You need to point that out. If need be, print a copy of the DMM FCPS rate chart and take it with you to the PO. https://pe.usps.com/text/dmm300/Notice123.htm#_c104 The chart very clearly shows the weight range up to 15.999 oz. and rates from $2.61 to $4.30. ~~C~~

The $10 Fragile/ Special handling charge is only for the bright yellow labels.

There is no charge for just writing Fragile on a package or using a Generic Fragile label such as these.

Gently (to avoid future  backlash)point it out to the accepting clerk.

All eBay sellers printing labels through eBay labels get commercial rates (and PayPal shipping, Amazon, Stamps, Endicia, and anywhere online postage is printed except USPS.com which is retail rates)
