A buyer emailed and said ebay told him/her they won't take the payment becauseI don't ship to Alabama, which as far as I know I do -- I don't think you can even exclude a state, can you? 25 years on eBay, I thought I heard it al, but no.
This is a glitch that gets reported once in a while. The buyer is told that the problem is their location but it's actually something else. In other words, an error in composing the message from eBay. As noted in the other post, the only states you can block are AK and HI.
Tell them it's a glitch since you don't have a block. If they have very little feedback, completely ignore. They probably have several non-payment strikes. Best to ignore those folks.

This leads me to wonder whether that buyer's attempted purchase may show up on the seller's Buyer Requirements Activity Log -- and if it does appear, what reason is shown there for the block?
