edit listing for shipping

I have two things going on. One is that I incorrectly estimated the size and weight of the box based on prior input from an EBAY listing for the same item. I can't seem to go into that part of the listing to put actual box and weight. It's going to be a big difference that I will have to eat now if I can't change it. It is 12 hrs before end of listing. Second. when I revised the listing for adding details, I had orig selected USPS and it seems to have a default set to Priority mail? So now I'm sending a larger package priority mail. How do I turn off the default if that is what it is that happened?

Maybe I'm missing something but I don't see anything ending in 12 hours on this user ID. I see a doll ending in 1 day and 11 hours.

If it is that much difference in shipping all you can do at this point is cancel all bids, claim that there is an error in the listing and relist with the correct info.

Or you can let it ride and eat the shipping costs.

Thanks, the listing ended. EBAY recommended putting a change in shipping in the listing notes and emailing the top bidder to not pay until I sent an updated invoice. Of course, they sent payment and ignored my request b/c it meant they would pay more money, so EBAY next recommended to bill via a PAYPAL money request after advising the buyer. It seems either way they can leave a poor review, but t was an honest mistake on my part from not knowing the EBAY system so it is what it is. EBAY made no mention of the option you suggested, but that would have been the easiest for sure! I guess they didn't want me to cancel the listing b/c I did ask them if it was an option.

On the same listing I had a bidder bid $545, retract it and then email me to tell me she had no money to pay for her bid. So when I cancelled her bid it took all her prior counter bids down to a $91. This listing was plagued with issues, glad it's over.. I will eat the costs for simplicity.

brian@ebay  Brian, both of these suggestions violate eBay policies, why would CS be giving these types of instructions?
