I had an item hit a USPS regional center on 7/25 and has been "In transit" since then I asked the seller on friday to do a lost package search but it was too soon. This morning ebays page updated my tracking to "passed through facility" at 1:05 am but USPS tracking site has been the same showing the last update of 7/30.
Is there a reason for ebays page to update and not USPS?

Do you know how it was shipped?
If it was shipped ESE, it doesn't get scanned like regular packages.

This was likely sent using 'eBay Standard Envelope', tracking updates for these will only show on eBay. It's likely the item's eligibility for machine sorting was questionable and got pulled to non-machinable after getting the first scan. This will cause the item to move much slower and not get tracking updates. Apparently someone decided it was okay for their machine and put it through again, so you got the recent scan.
If you don't get it today and it's past the delivery date given at purchase, you should just file an 'Item Not Received' claim. Even a completely non machined letter should get across the country in under 2 weeks.

There was an estimated delivery date in the listing when you made your purchase.
Once that date has passed by at least 3 days but less than 30, you can open an item not received case.
Have you read eBay's Money Back Guarantee for buyers?
