Hi, I am just wondering if anyone has experienced this. I am in awe! I had a first class package to ship to Hong Kong. 3 ounces. I printed out a label for $13.00, choosing ebay's delivery services in labels choice. It shipped item to ebay center in states, then on to Hong Kong. I checked my ebay invoice this month, thinking it was a bit much, I looked at activity. Besides the $13.00 that I paid for international first class shipping, ebay ALSO charged another $21.00 for shipping!!! So a first class international package of 3 ounces cost me $34.00 to mail. I have since taken the ebay shipping option off all my listings but I wanted everyone to know to be careful using this service.

When you use global shipping, you only purchase a domestic First Class label to send the package to Kentucky. Did you purchase a label to an address in Kentucky or in Hong Kong?

Are you sure the second charge was for the same item and not for one or more other items?

Upon reviewing your account invoice, you were only charged the $21 for the label in October and a subsequent reversal was done on Nov 1.
Your package is currently in HK and has completed clearance. It should be delivering shortly.

So, I sold an item in October. It is still my most recent ebay sale. Paid for shipping to Montreal from the US, which already seemed high, but fair. And today I got an additional $43 charge for "eBay Delivery Services Shipping Label Fee" in my current invoice. I don't know if this is right or not, because the Global Shipping program fee descriptions are so vague. Unfortunately, this forum seems like the best way to get a response.
Of course I would not have used the program if it would cost me $43 more dollars to ship an item. I actually lost money on selling a $35 item! What gives, ebay? I have since opted out of the program and will probably just avoid shipping internationally from now on.

The same thing happened to me! I shipped an item internationally and paid the $13 in shipping, and now an "eBay Delivery Services Shipping Label Fee" of $22 shows up??? Why would I be charged more than the buyer, that's the entire point of having them pay for shipping. What is this additional $9 charge??

I just checked my invoice and I see $43 next to eBay Delivery Services Shipping Label Fee for 2 transactions.
When I opened the 'Manage shipping labels' page, I see $34 for 1 transaction and $5.29 for the second transaction. The total should be $39.29.
My invoice is showing the incorrect amount.
Also, for one of the transactions, there were 2 items (2 pairs of shoes) that cost $26 each and for each item there is a Final Value Fee of $5.07 totaling $10.14 for $52 worth of shoes. The Final value fee should be 10% not 20%.
Can someone please help me. Thanks!

It would have been best to have started a new thread as it can get confusing dealing with different situations from different posters but I will try to help.
There is no ebay international delivery rate for $5.29 so are you sure that is for that service?
Did you have the correct weight and dimensions entered in the listings? That service does use dimensional shipping so if the dimensions weren't entered or were incorrect they would charge the correct amount at the shipping center and it would be reflected on your invoice. In order to figure it out we would need to know where the items were going, the weight, package dimensions. What were you charged for each item on your invoice?

When you are using PP as a payment processor the final value fee is 10% on the total transaction so on the item plus shipping. Then PP charges 2.9% (for a domestic transaction) on the item, shipping and also on tax if tax was charged.
But you are in Managed Payments so the total fvf is based on the total transaction - item, shipping and tax and it includes the payment processing fee. I believe the total percentage is 12.35.Can someone please help me. Thanks!

I sold an item for $4. shipping was another $4 for international and all of a sudden the next month I have a $10 "eBay Delivery Services Shipping Label Fee" on my account. I think I learned a lesson the worst way possible to just never sell international.

Why were they charged $21 for a $13 label.

I'm curious why 1st class to HK would go anywhere except from your house(post office) straight to HK.

I shipped a 10$ package and (the buyer paid) paid 15$ for shipping then a week later I was charged another $10.
The lesson is, DO NOT USE eBay International Standard Delivery. If shipping Internationally use USPS First-Class Package International if you can, it is slightly more expensive but at least it doesn't scam you and make you pay later.

You don't pay for international standard delivery until the package is scanned at the US depot. So you didn't pay at all until you were charged $10 on your invoice.

I was charged 11$ initially (I checked PayPal) then I was charged an additional 10$ today.

USPS International is a flat $13ish to the same location. The only reason I chose eBay International is because it was advertised as the cheapest.
