Please ask eBay shipping to expand the categories for the Standard Envelope. Right now it is a negotiated rate with USPS, but only for trading cards.
This holiday season I sold and shipped 37 paper tree ornaments by regular post ($.50 or $1.00 vs $3 -$4 each).
Now I have lost my top rated seller status - even though all items were delivered to happy buyers.
I have spoken to sellers who actually keep a separate ebay account to sell items like that or post cards, etc.

They are NOT going to expand it. Get a second account and list those overthere.

Limited to trading cards is not correct.
Stamps also.
Postcards I believe.

We are members just like you. You ask ebay. We are not a go between.

Hey @thestylewriter2. ESE is currently available for trading cards, coins, paper money, stamps and postcards when listed in eligible categories. https://www.ebay.com/sellercenter/shipping/ebay-labels-services/ebay-domestic-shipping-services/ebay...
Most frequently I see the request made to add greeting cards, patches, stickers and decals. Supposedly eBay is expanding to at least one more category in 2023 though they haven't said which category(ies) or when it might happen.
What I can say with certainty is they will not add the Collectible Ornaments category. Virtually the entire category would be ineligible per ESE package guidelines. Yes, there are exceptions, but as a general rule, most items would not qualify.
If you plan to sell PWE (plain white envelope) items in categories that don't qualify for ESE then you may want to follow the advice you've already gotten which is to use a second account for those listings so your TRS on this account won't be impacted.

Ebay takes a cut of at least 12.9% of the shipping fee. I am actually surprised that they allow those few categories. The post office continues to lose millions of dollars every year too. They certainly don't want expanded categories either. They do not make much on those envelops. I wish that there was some cheap where you can ship a 5 dollar hot wheels or other small, inexpensive item for less than the current rate.
