We have been on ebay for almost 24 years.
Our Post Office said there is no such, "eBay Standard Envelope shipping for $.63" .... every one under 1oz are pulled and sent back to us for additional postage of $.40. We have called ebay several times over this
1: Ebay has no proof that you can ship a coin, under 1oz, for 63 cents.
2: We have to pay an additional 40 cents
3: The Post Office says if you put anything in the envelope like a coin ... the envelope requires $1.04 postage.
The Post Master says, "eBay Standard Envelope shipping for $.63" is Postal Fraud.

Okay -- time to do an end-run around Susan Park, OIC, Florence, CO:
Send a registered letter (NOT an email!) to the Postmaster General of the United States, requesting a copy of the current USPS regulations regarding sending coins through the mail at USPS First Class rates in
"automation-compatible letter-size envelopes when they are firmly affixed to a component in the mailpiece and wrapped within the contents so that the contour of the mailpiece is streamlined."
Specifically ask for any UPDATES regarding PS-328 (201.3.10), referring EXACTLY to the problems which you are having with Susan Park, OIC at the Florence, CO post office.
Also, request that Postmaster General Louis DeJoy PERSONALLY sign the letter, so that you can show the letter to OIC Park.
Enclosed a stamped, self-addressed envelope for the reply.
Maybe there'll be a fireworks display at the Florence, CO post office this holiday season.
Good luck.

>> 7 minutes each way to Coal Creek. 9 minutes each way to Penrose.
Thank you but Like Florence these post offices hand sort ... it may or may not work.
This is a lesson in futility.
-- Ebay has compensate us some $$$$ that will pay for a month or two.
-- The amount time spent for the return is not worth it.
-- Florence Post says "no coins" they are the gate keeper. Nothing you show them will change this.
-- Ebay says if the PO says it is non-machinable you have to pay the extra postage.
-- This is where a lesson in futility comes in ... it isn't worth this to fight. We will do something else
-- we will raise prices 20 or 40 cents, bundle, takes some to Canon City because we are going there ... just do something that makes sense and makes money. Obliviously this isn't going to work (for us) because it isn't worth the time to sweat about.

eBay standard envelope is considered "metered mail" which might allow a trading or post card but not a coin.
Florence Post Office is still returning "metered mail" because according to the Post Office -- absolutely NO coins are allowed. Moral of the story ... as far as the Post Office is concerned ... no coins means no coins. Return to sender. Ebay refuses to help.

Have you tried what I suggested on November 15, 2023?
Here's a reminder:

From what is being reported on other threads (regarding some local post offices refusing scan forms), the Postmaster General's office in Washington, DC is beginning to clamp down on local USPS branches which are side-stepping USPS regulations.
For example, it has been announced that 4 of our local USPS branches in Minnesota have only this week been notified that their operations will be investigated AGAIN due to customer complaints.
So why not put a fire, as well, under the Florence, CO post office?!?
