Hey....
I thought that packages going through the International Shipping Hub were examined for things like damage, correct item, etc. I was recently notified that FedEx damaged an item headed for Australia. However, on another shipment I accidently got the wrong shipping label attached to a package headed to Kansas. It went on to the EIS Hub where it was forwarded to Switzerland. As soon as I realized the error I contacted Customer Support. It had not yet delivered to the hub. The CS agent told me they could not do anything until the package was delivered to the hub. Once delivered, I could ask them to escalate checking the package and rejecting it, so it would return to me. When I got connected to someone at the hub I was told they do not have the resources to return a package to the sender. They said I would have to wait until it was delivered to the customer in Switzerland and ask that person to open a return request.
I don't see anything in the help files that explains what I'm asking about. What do you all know?
Thanks!

I suppose some packages might be checked out at the hub but I doubt that the majority of them are.
The way that I understand it works, I doubt that you will receive that package back. Once it is received at the hub it is owned by eBay. Even if the buyer that receives it opens a return, it will go back to the hub and be sold by one of their designated sellers. If you contact the buyer yourself, you could offer to pay for the return yourself so that they don't open a return. Then the item would go back to you but postage might end up costing you more than it would cost to refund the Kansas buyer.
