Don't contact them unless they contact you.
And updating any online information can be erratic.
Once you have shipped, don't think about the shipment unless the customer contacts you.
Also, I use Canada Post constantly. They don't use private couriers. In fact many private couriers use Canada Post for last mile delivery, because they are cheap, efficient and deliver everywhere from Old Crow to Meat Cove to Galliano Island.
It seems Asendia was formed by LaPoste and Swiss Post so it may be part of the Universal Postal Union which Canada has belonged to for over a century and a half.
