Has anyone else experienced extra shipping charges because they are enter actual weight of their package rather than calculating the 'dimensional weight?

If a package qualifies for dimensional weight, you will be charged either the dimensional weight or the actual weight, whichever is greater. And if you input the incorrect dimensions that result in the package not beign charged dimensional weight, shipping will be adjusted to reflect the correct price. And then there is an additional charge for the incorrect diminsions.

Make sure you input the correct weight and then each measurement of all sides. This will be done when you purchase your label. Also, if you have been overcharged by UPS this may be because they are committing fraud. We have been overcharged many times but then we started to video tape our scale and also showing the exact measurement with our tape measure. When you get the actual charge, you will then have proof that you have been overcharged. UNFORTUNATELY, eBay will not help you with these cases. They act like they care but in the end they won't have your back!

You don't need to calculate the dimensional weight; the eBay listing and the eBay label prep form will do that for you. Just enter the correct package weight and the dimensions, rounded off to the nearest full inch.
As noted in the other post, USPS will not only charge you the dimensional weight, they will also charge penalty fee if the dimensions were entered incorrectly.
