I usually list shipping method as parcel select for the cheapest rate for buyer. Then when it sells, I upgrade if possible because Priority with discount is usually a few cents more. Buyer is pleased when package gets there faster than expected. Yesterday, item sold and I went to print label. Buyer paid for Parcel Select, but print label defaulted to flat rate envelope. Hit drop down, no parcel select, no Priority Mail without restrictions like Flat Rate or specific box sizes. Luckily, Fedex regular rate was close to what the buyer paid so I did that. After, I looked at my other similar listing to see if I did something wrong. It says Parcel Select. So it sold today, same thing! Only this time Priority with no restrictions was there so I did that and discount saved me from paying more that buyer. Anyone else seeing this? I logged out and back in on app and online thinking it was a technical fluke. Defaulting a 3 lb box to Flat Rate envelope sounds more like a glitch. Callback to Ebay help was 56 minute wait so I thought I would try here first. Also, under payment methods, I see "Payments managed by ebay" and they are paying me directly. On these 2 transactions, that was the case, but when I went to print label, it said Paypal. Not sure if that has anything to do with this. Thanks for the help. I am a casual seller but listed 10 other items same time as these 2, so want to fix any issues before next item sells.
