Wrong name entered in shipping address

I bought an item for a friend and entered their shipping address into the boxes but forgot to change my name in the shipping info field. Is there a way to correct this through my account? I've already reached out to the seller to see if they can change the name on the shipping label to my friend's name.

The seller loses any protection if they change anything on the address that is shown when shipping. They must ship to the address as seen.

Also, I'm not sure if you can change it after your purchase but before shipping.  

Is there a reason that it would not be delivered, even with your name? Your friend may want to consider taping your name to their mailbox, until delivery.  Just a thought. 

Make sure when you figure this out that your information is all correct prior to any future purchases.

If you have already paid for the item, then it's too late to change the information that the seller gets to print on the label.

I agree with the above advice that the friend should just temporarily add your name on their mailbox. However, if the carrier decides to leave a pickup slip instead of the package, there could be complications at the Post Office because they'll ask for ID and they'l want to see yours.

So, I would ask the seller to put your friend's name on the package.  If they aren't willing to change the shipping label, or if they have already purchased it, then they can do it manually: just get out their Sharpie and write the friend's name on the label above yours, and either either write  "or" after it or cross out your name.
