Wrong address - Just get buyer to confirm in a message

So I have a buyer who filled out their shipping info incorrectly, and long story short, they left out the city.  I can't print a label since the info is messed up, but both Paypal and eBay see the address as valid up until the point of shipping.  I don't want to cancel the transaction and redo it as I'll lose money to Paypal fees, so I call up ebay looking for a work around.  I was told by 3 different CSR's to "message the buyer and as long as they confirm the city, you can change the address and keep seller protection".  Is this new?  Have I missed something in the past few years?

Should that matter, IF they provided their ZIP CODE?

Should it matter?  No.... but this is eBay, things like that DO matter to them.  I've seen plenty on this board lose cases of seller protection from adjusting addresses.  I've also seen the foreign call centers give bogus advice just to get people off the phone.

I would ship it,you are not changing the address, you are adding to it,when it gets delivered you will have proof.you can change addresses around anyway you see fit to get the label printed,a physical location can be describe more than one way just by changing around a few lines but the address is still the same
