Writing an envelope instead of printing a label

I take my small business with me when I'm camping. I forgot my printer and want to know....can I purchase shipping via ebay and write the information on an envelope? If so, what information do I write besides the customers name and address?

No, you cannot purchase postage online and just write the tracking number on the envelope. You need to print a label that's purchased online or buy postage at the post office.

No.

The label is machine readable, with a bar-code for the tracking number.   One of the reasons that we get a discount is because this approach to purchasing and labeling eliminates work by the USPS ... if you hand write the information on the envelope, the USPS will have to manually process the package at multiple locations.

No USPS will not honor that at all.  You are in a bit of a pickle here.

You can handwrite the address on the package, but you will need to either take it to a local PO, put the proper stamps on it and then ship it out.  If you can get to a PO, it will cost you a little more for shipping, but you can get tracking.

Is there a town nearby with a library? You can buy a label on eBay and print it there. If you have a library card. Or, can ask nicely if you're out of state. Depends on what you're shipping if it's even worth it opposed to just paying full price at a PO. And, guess it depends where you are exactly...

Just a suggestion. Good luck.
