Why won’t EBay step in and help

The item sent to me was not the item pictured and described!  I contacted EBay and asked them to step in and help and they didn’t do anything that I am aware of and now when I go to my user page it just says it was resolved on May 29th!  I just what to know how EBay helped?!  I didn’t get to return the item I didn’t get a refund..... very frustrating.

You needed to use the 30 Day Money Back Guarantee:

 

Did you go to 'my ebay' and under 'purchases' see the item, and the large blue box on the right that says 'return' and then follow the prompts giving the 'reason for your return' (this basically opens a 'case' in the 'resolution center' which in turn the seller is notified that you are 'returning'.) If the reason is 'not as described' you will be given a return label to print/use.

It's been weeks since 5/29.

What happened in the weeks before that? Did you open a Return and not send the item back to the seller?

If you paid via PayPal, you may open a case there. If not and you paid by credit card, try contacting them.
