Why is this still a problem -- estimated delivery dates shown to buyer??

I have a 2 day handling time to make allowances for emergencies.  The order went through 11:30 PM EST on July 6.   Why would the buyer be shown a delivery date of less than 24 hrs  to one day after the shipping date of July 10th.  The shipping policy I have for this listing is  economy shipping ( 1 - 10  business days) .  This has been an issue for years.  Has anyone looked into it?

I've had a few buyers send messages saying " wow, you are shipping this overnight" while the package is actually being shipped via USPS first class mail ( usually same day or well before my handling period of 2 days)  Then the buyer is angry since the package arrived later than the dates shown by eBay but was correct according to USPS estimates.  Why can't the delivery dates shown be starting from the date according to handling time + the 2-5 days that USPS estimates for first class mail?

Does anyone have any insight?

I've never had that issue and the estimated haven't been horrible for me.

However, this week all my economies are shorter than they are supposed to be. Carrier predicts 2-3 days longer.
