Every time. Every time, I have a shipping amount calculated by the shipping calculator, I end up shelling out my own money to pay the actual shipping amount.
I cannot be the only person this is happening to. Has anyone worked out an offset to arrive at an accurate shipping amount? Why isn't there an option for a seller to input the shipping amount as it had been in the past?

Are you purchasing your postage through eBay shipping labels, or at the FedEx office? That receipt looks like you might be paying the counter price rather than the discounted online rate.

I always ship at the fedex counter in person, but I have a business account that I've been using regularly for over a decade, so I get some form of discount. Between that and the fact that I over estimate weight and package size, I don't get it. And why would eBay assume I would be doing anything different?

I shipped another item today and ended up paying 12 bucks of my own to make up the difference. I'll need to start doubling weight to get an accurate shipping amount.

We can probably help if you provide specific details, including package weight and dimensions, service used, both ZIP Codes, and both exact prices.
