Why is it taking so long for ebay to send me a return shipping label that the seller accepted

Not sure why ebay is waiting days to send me a return shipping label on an item the seller accepted a return for? This is not the first time it has taken ebay days to send a return label. Does it depend on the shipper to be used??

Any ideas

I am not sure what you mean by "send" are you talking an eMail or snail mail?

If you go to your return (sometimes hard to find, so it's good to take a note of the URL or bookmark it)

You can find the Return Claim at the bottom of your My Ebay (drop down) Purchase History list under "Returns and canceled orders".

Click View Order Details.

Click the See Return Details button

(this is the page to bookmark)

There should be a link  where you can print the return label. It is usually available as soon as the seller accepts the return.

Sometimes the seller has to initiate this label (I believe they have 4 days) if it doesn't appear in 4 days, you should be able to escalate the case from that page as well; and eBay will issue the return label on that page immediately or within 48 hrs.

However, if you are returning because you changed your mind and the seller agreed, you may have to purchase your own label.

If a seller authorized a return you should have received. A return label immediately.  Check your junk mail folder. If not there ask seller to resend it.  If none of this works follow the eBay procedures for requesting a refund/return.  Last thing you can do is call eBay to find out what happened.

I will use the word provide. eBay has yet to provide me with a return shipping label, and states it may take as long as 5 days????

Why is the seller at fault here?

Aware of your instructions, but I am asking why is it taking so long when seller granted the return as it is a not as described. Seems a SNAD a label would be immediate..

If seller approved the return you should have received an email with a link to the label within hours, unless the seller refunded without requiring a return.

Try going to your Purchase history.
Find the item in Returns and cancelled orders.
Select View return details.
Choose See label.

If you don't see the label there, then seller did not send one.  If no label or refund by the fourth day, go back and ask ebay to step in.  Do not cancel or let the case expire without doing this.

Just a guess but it sounds like ebay allows the seller a few days to send label.

Same like with a return, they do not have to refund on the exact day they receive item back. eBay allows a couple of days for the refund to be made.

Seller has three days to either accept the return and send a label or refund.  OP stated the seller already approved the return and in that case an ebay return label would be sent immediately, unless seller selected to use their own label, which would require input of the tracking number.

Appreciate the inputs. Here is a copy of the information directly from the SNAD return:
