Just printed a shipping label for an item and wanted to reprint it, but the option for reprinting has disappeared.
This happen to anyone else?

Use the option "get another label".
When you do it will give you a warning message that you already printed out a label for this.
Right after that warning message click on "reprint".
It will print out a duplicate label and you wont be charged again.

I download the label. Then you can print it and resize it all you want.

Okay thank you.

Depending on how someone is setup, they may automatically download the label in their Downloads folder, potentially without even knowing it.
Mine does this, so I know I always have a copy on hand if I need it.

Okay, thank you.

For the future, you can go into your printer's settings and have it keep a queue. It may be doing it already. I have needed this 50-100 times to reprint a label, sometimes a week or two later. For example, USPS loses a package or it's stuck somewhere, I will use the same label to send my buyer a reship.

I'm not sure you should be doing that.
You sould never re-use a label that has already entered the system. That's just asking for trouble. Regardless if it has worked for you or not, you shouldn't be using a copy of a label for that purpose. That is misuse of the label and its intended purpose and if caught you could get pinched for it by the shipper.

If you're not sure, then I'm sure you should refrain from commenting.
When I do use a reprinted label, I write a note on the parcel that this is a reshipment because the original was lost by the carrier. I like for my buyer to see this note as well. I ship over a thousand packages per month for a decade and the 50-100 times I've done this, I've never had an issue with USPS, my buyer was more than happy, and I would still receive a check from USPS if I filed a claim.

The only way reusing the same label would work, would be if the original label was not scanned into the system, which does happen, or the post office returned a correctly addressed package by mistake, but you'd have to take it to the counter to resend it. Otherwise, it would be considered a duplicate label even if the package was lost, then the duplicate labeled package should have either been returned or the APV system should have back charged your account for it.

I'm quite sure if you talked with the USPS people they would offer a different opinion on the subject, but next you are going to tell me you have and they said it was okay.
However this is not something that anyone should be doing, regardless if you have managed to do so for 50+ supposed shipments.
Pretty much as I understand it. If the system already had tracking on the first package, this could cause an issue, regardless of the fact they haven't HAD an issue yet. More likely blind luck than anything else. But then I'm the one being told I'm wrong about it, so what do I know. I will be checking with my local post master about it though and get a straight answer on the subject. I suggest @the-hook-and-the-loop check as well. But they probably won't.

They call it "download label" now....same thing though, just like they changed "contact buyer" to "message buyer".
I guess some new people in the office need to justify their jobs.
