In the return details, it states that I can ask them to step in on July 11 (today).
When I go to the details there is no place to ask them to step in. I thought a button popped up that asked if you wanted them to step in. Thanks for any help you can give me.

You’re welcome 🙂
i wish eBay would change their wording. It’s confusing and it leads to frustration when you are led to believe you can ask eBay to step in on a certain date & you go to do it and can’t! IMHO it makes a bad buying situation worse than it already is!

You can’t ask them to step in until tomorrow 7/12. The seller has until 7/11 to respond. That means you can’t ask eBay to step in until tomorrow.

Thank you, Jen.

It is confusing. About the return... I ordered a linen dress. When I got it, it was made to look very similar to what I had ordered but it was a facsimile and it was made out of some very cheap fabric.
The seller said they needed to watch their "quality control girl" better . And they asked me if I would take $3 refund to help them out because they didn't make much profit.
They raised the amount of the return to 5 and then 7.
I told them it wasn't linen or even made the same and I couldn't wear it and they said I could give it
to someone or sell it.
I don't know what to make of it but I am ready for tomorrow to let eBay decide.

Sorry, if you look again, it doesn't actually state that.
You returns page only says the last day your seller gets to resolve your request:
If you have not agreed on a solution or the seller has not responded by Jul 11, 2018, you can ask us to step in and help.
However, the email eBay sent says exactly when you can ask eBay to step in it:
The seller should respond and let you know what to do next. If you don't hear back or can't work things out, you can ask us to step in and help starting on Jul 12, 2018.
And when that happens, you'll see a third option:

Don't bother asking eBay to step in. All that will happen is that a computer program will be triggered to rule in the buyer's favor. I wasted tons of time trying to work things out with the buyer before finding out that's what will happen.

And that's what happened today:
@vintagemoth12, got a label, or refund if cannot label --
after clicking the Ask eBay to get up off of its tush and step in it.
