What to do when you schedule a usps pickup, but unable to get the package out due to some reason?

Reasons being buyer changed mind, your printer ran out of ink etc. I know scheduled pickups can be submitted and edited up until 2am, but what if the above reasons occur and you cannot fullfill it after that time limit? Its not something that occurs much. More often than not usps don't fullfill their end with the pickups. I just want to make sure I've exhausted all of my options if I'm unable to fullfill my end for whatever reason.

Don't worry about it.

Your job  is to get the sold item in the  hands of USPS in time for it to be  delivered by the last ESTIMATED delivery time and within your  handling time.

eBay doesn't consider real reasons or POPCORN* reasons for being late.

I think the OP's question is about USPS, not eBay.

OP, if you schedule a pickup and there is nothing to pick up, your carrier will scan their pickup request sheet and note that there was no package.  Nothing needed on your end but it would be nice if you left a note for the carrier saying there is no package after all, so he doesn't waste time looking for a package that isn't there.
