What to do if Ebay customer service doesn't reply?

Hello,

 

I bought an item that's not as described and I'm trying to get the seller to pay for return shipping. He's already accepted my return so the "Ask Ebay to Step in" function is no longer on the return details page. Seller is unable to send me a return shipping label because he's in a different country, so I'm trying to get Ebay to step in and take some money out of his PayPal account or something haha...

 

Anyway these pinheads at Ebay customer service aren't replying to my request for them to step in. I've already emailed like twice without getting a response. What to do?

 

I'm in New Zealand and as far as I know there's no actual phone number to call Ebay on. What to do?

Patient runs up to doctor, "I have to see you right now. I think I'm shrinking!"

Doctor replies, "Sorry, I'm busy right now. You'll just have to be a little patient!"

 

eBay says here "the option to ask eBay to step in does become available after the 5 business days a buyer is provided to upload tracking information/work out return shipping with the seller. This is the same timeframe that is given to the seller once eBay is contacted"

 

So just be a little patient, completely stop talking to the seller, and the option to ask eBay to step in will appear after 5 days. When you do, tell eBay that you "have not received cash via PayPal for return postage" yet.

 

Then the seller will also get 5 days to simply refund, or send cash for the return postage. If the seller does neither, eBay will force a refund, no return needed.

Tell the seller how much tracked return shipping costs and ask them to send the money to your PayPal account. If they refuse or stay silent then contact eBay customer service on FaceBook or Twitter.

Hey thanks for your reply.

 

I'll do as you suggested. Is contacting Ebay on Facebook or Twitter the only way to get in  touch with them? I'm not on any social media and am reluctant to sign up just because of this fiasco.

Whenever I have a specific question for eBay, I message them via Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/ebay/

They basically always get right back to me very quickly. And, they've answered many of my questions very clearly. I recommend it. Hope this helps.

That no longer seems to be the case.  eBay seems to have been lobotomized and robotized leaving us mere mortals in the dust with no recourse.
