Hello, so I ordered something from a seller 2 days ago and on all of my info and my emails etc it has my current address. Skip to today I get an email saying it was delivered to my current address. Nope, no post whatsoever. So I double check my emails and they all say my address and that it was delivered to this address. So I go to the tracking info from

the seller and it’s somehow been delivered to my old home address via Royal Mail and was signed for at 12:51pm. So I sent my fiancé to the old address to ask the new people there if any post has been delivered under my name and they said nope no post, even though the tracking info is saying it’s there.
But what can I do? Everything on my end is correct and the seller is saying they’ve sent it to the address which was in the email and they’ve said eBay have told them they are covered by their guarantee since they sent it to the address on the email. I’ll try to attach some images to show that my house is number 3 but they have sent it to a 26 (different street) (last picture is from seller)

@katiemay96

Have you checked the order to see what address was provided?

If the item was shipped to the address provided with the payment, sorry, not much you can do.

Have A Great Day.

What should I do?

Your item was shipped to the address that ebay provided to the seller.

What address was on the Order? Know that eBay offers several address fields... maybe your old address was plugged in and it pre-filled?? Just thinking outside the box... good luck.

I see what the problem is, @katiemay96. Look at the screenshot from the seller. See how it says the buyer hasn't paid yet?

The seller made a big error and they shipped to the address on your account, not the address on the order that came through with payment. If you can't retrieve the package from your old address (maybe try one more time?), then the seller will need to refund you.

In the meantime, go to your account settings and update the registration address on your account.

 Ugghhh thank you so much I’ve been going mad trying to find the problem on my end! Hopefully I can open a case with eBay or the seller will own up to their mistake and refund!

Explain to the seller nicely what the issue is - that they shipped to the address that appeared before payment came through. Any buyer can enter a different address at checkout (I have gifts shipped directly to people all the time).

First see if you can retrieve the package. If you definitely can't, then ask the seller for a refund. if they decline, then you'll need to file an Item Not Received claim.

By the way, you're on the US (.com) discussion boards. Some policies may be different on the .co.uk site so you might want to check in there to make sure the advice you received here still applies.
