What's the point of reporting a problem with refund?

Hi, the buyer returned my item with missing parts, and I reported it during the refund process. I clicked on that refund button after reporting the problem without knowing that there's no such option as to deduct the amount of the refund. If that's the case, what's the point of reporting the issue? Now the refund case is closed, it doesn't look like I'm gonna get my missing parts or the money back. How is eBay going resolve this?

ebay is not going  to resolve this at all,you got the welcome to ebay handshake,makes you feel good doesnt it.Please come back here with any other problems,there is not much you can do about it till you become a TRS.
