So does Ebay take any action if an item was shipped out. USPS tracking provided, but lets face it...USPS is a complete disaster now. Item was shipped out the end of Nov. and it's just always "in transit"....tracking provided but item never gets there. Assume insurance wasn't purchased. Will that be Ebays "out"...?

Hang in there, I have three I shipped on Nov 27th, they just arrived to the customers this week. over 3 weeks time. They did not have insurance on them. Since they were a lower cost item. Ebay will refund the customers if it does not arrive and they open a case. Keep putting in the tracking numbers at USPS everyday, don't wait for another update, put it in everyday and request updates.
I have one today that has been sitting in Maryland since Dec 8th, It finally moved to Virginia an hour ago. so it sat in Maryland for 16days. I am just thrilled it moved, since I have a case of not received on this open. All the best to you!!

eBay does not need an "out".
eBay has shipped nothing, and is not responsible.
The seller is responsible from start to finish.
eBay's responsibility lies in the area of applying "policy"
Buyers are covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee (MBG)
If an item is not received within 30 days of the last estimated delivery date a buyer can go to the "resolution center" (bottom of most any page) to open a dispute for Item Not Received (INR)
Many items are not being delivered on time, but a buyer should not let the time to open an INR pass.
Once opened, a buyer can still allow more time for the item to arrive before asking eBay to "step in" to resolve if the seller does not take action.
Buyers also have 1800 days to claim INR with PayPay if used.

Don't give up! I shipped a Priority box on Nov 25. Buyer advised me on Dec 7, they didn't receive it. I checked tracking and there was nothing. I sent out a replacement on Dec 7. Finally today, the first one shipped on Nov 25 shows being out for delivery. the replacement is still out there somewhere.

If your the buyer, you can file an item not received case in the resolution center. Link at bottom of page. Ebay is waiting longer with cases now to allow for the extreme shipping delays. The seller has to have insured the package to be covered for it's loss.
However, they do seem to be getting delivered all be it weeks late so, there is hope.
