What happened to USPS Parcel Select??

eBay doesn't seem to recognize it any more.  Items for which I had Parcel Select shipping have now turned into other things; I had a buyer pay postage for a pair of hiking boots which were going by "Flat Rate Envelope??"  I don't think so!  Lost money on that one.

Where on earth did you get that idea? It still appears in their pricing charts and in their service description at usps.com. This is clearly some sort of eBay glitch.

@pokvarnik

Are you sure that was what the buyer paid?  The impression that I got from other posts about this is that on the label it would show a Priority service and the price but the never actually chose that service....they paid for the correct cost on the listing.

I'm having that problem also while printing shipping labels from ebay.    They only allow the priority mail option.  I seldom use Parcel Select anyhow, but it might be a bit of a problem if someone buys something larger until it's fixed.

Parcel Select is now subject to "dimensional weight" also, so there are fewer situations where it is a significant savings.

Correct, I was being hasty. Although I offered only Parcel Select as a shipping option, somehow the buyer paid for Priority Mail Envelope, which must have seemed strange as he was buying a pair of men's hiking boots. Since a pair of men's hiking boots won't--of course--fit in an envelope, I had to put them in a box, which increased the cost, which I had to pay the difference of.
