I’m trying not to be a d#ck in this circumstance but I purchased a replacement mounting cup for my dashcam which was shipped via free 2 day air.
The seller did ship the following day but somehow a package being sent from NY to VA left NY, Went straight to Cali and has now ended up in Ontario which leaves me concerned with further delays due to the route shipped and customs. I have requested a refund from the seller as I can’t just send an item back that is two days late.

Was it guaranteed shipping? If not, the seller is under no obligation to refund you. I hope you didn’t open a return request—it’s not the way to handle this and if you can’t return the item on time, eBay will close the request in the sellers favor.

I didn’t open a case, just a request from the seller in order to obtain permission for refund. I’m well aware that they have 4 business days to respond and even eBay customer service is not properly educated as when I called to inquire they immediately asked for the product info to open a case.
I cited the response time allowed to the seller and they immediately agreed with me then asked agai ln for transaction info to open a case at which point I just hung up. Got screwed once already when I was told as a new seller by eBay to close a return request so an investigation could be launched into the buyer as it was their first purchase and they created their account the same day they had made the purchase.
He claimed the bug detector was not functioning properly just because he didn’t find anything. Ebay neglected to tell me to issue the refund first so I advise anyone on here to confirm the rules and regulations before taking any kind action through or by advise of PayPal/EBay.

Going to give the seller until the end of the day to reply. If not I’m contacting PayPal as it appears I may have been scammed.
Departure address is NY but the seller account is from Thailand. I also tried to put in a lost package claim to UPS but the seller has declared the package is only worth $1 despite the cost of the item being $14.97.
Odd thing is the seller has a good rating. Either way this is rediculous.
