Waiting for answer

Unfortunately, you selected the wrong reason for escalation. When you pick The seller hasn't responded yet, eBay will squander many days looking for your seller.

I still haven't received my item.jpg

Instead, if you had selected I still haven't received the item, a robot will look at the tracking, if any, then force a refund in a few minutes if there's no deliverance.

I think you picked the proper option. Item not received. Do what ebay asks you to do, i.e. hang on. When you file a case, ebay gives the seller a few days to respond. If they don't respond, then ebay will undertake additional steps. Make sure that you follow your case in the resolution center. There is a always a note (by ebay) about the status of the case, for example it will say "Seller action required" or something like this, in this case you wait.

Bottom line, be patient. If you want to escalate the case, check the resolution center, a link to escalate will appear. If there is no such link, it means, it is too early to escalate the case. Don't communicate with the seller other than thru the resolution center.

I haven't found this to be true I've escalated to eBay with I haven't heard from the seller and been refunded quickly.  I don't think the reason chose for escalating makes any difference in the outcome.  Right now extra time is being given because of the pandemic though
