Voiding Shipping Labels

Dear fellow people, I was wondering when I will get my refund for a shipping label I voided about a week ago. I have heard it can take up to 15 days, but why in the world would it take that long? Also how/where will I see that I have been refunded? Will it appear in my eBay transaction history? Thank you!

Re: Voiding Shipping Labels

It usually takes 2-3 weeks. I haven't had to void one in a long time, but I think it is refunded back to what ever funding source you used to pay for it with originally.

Re: Voiding Shipping Labels

To reprint a label purchased through eBay (or download a copy of a QR code through the reprint function), go to this page, find the order and select Reprint from the Actions drop-down. The reprint option is available for 7 days.

To void a shipping label purchased through eBay, go to this page, find the order and select Void from the Actions drop-down. The void option is available for 5 days.

It takes between 2-4 weeks to receive a refund on an unused, voided label. You'll see the refund on your original source of payment (bank, credit card, etc) and the funds will appear in your account without an email notification.

Printed eBay Standard Envelope labels are non-refundable and cannot be voided.

eBay International Standard Delivery labels are not charged to your account until they are used, so there is no void option.

Because USPS want to make sure the label hasn't been used.

Okay, thanks! So I paid with my funds, so will the refund appear through my eBay funds?

Can take up to 30 days or so, should show up in your payments when it does.

Re: Voiding Shipping Labels

My last voided label didn't get refunded to my original funding source (a card linked to my PP account. ) It showed up instead as a credit on Pirateship, where I had voided the label.

I use Pirateship only a few times a month and didn't realize the refund was there as a credit until the next time I printed a label. Works out the same either way, but a credit obviously isn't the same as a cash refund.

The info I provided was for labels purchased & voided through eBay, not through other shipping providers. Different shipping label providers have different processes.

Re: Voiding Shipping Labels

If the ebay label for UPS does not need to be voided due to no charge until it is used, does this mean that i am paid the shipping moneys that the customer paid me and I can now go to canada post and use a small box through them? Thanks!

Re: Voiding Shipping Labels

MY VOIDED LABEL IS FROM JULY 5 2024. I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED REFUND. I WENT TO USPS TO FILE A CLAIM FOR REFUND, BUT IT KEEPS TELLING ME INVALID TRACKING NUMBER....OF COURSE IT IS INVALID. IT WAS NEVER USED. I CONTACTED LOCAL POST OFFICE, BUT THEY DON'T HANDLE ANYTHING LIKE THAT.

UPS labels are billed at the time you purchase the label @quirkologymarket so you still need to void/cancel if you're not going to use the label. At least here on .com - don't know about on eBay.ca. If you have questions specific to postage labels on eBay Canada you should post them on community.ebay.ca

@pickme2749

To void a shipping label purchased through eBay, go to this page, find the order and select Cancel from the Actions drop-down. The cancel option is available for 28 days.

It takes between 2-4 weeks to receive a refund on an unused, voided label as the carrier wants to make sure the label isn't used. You'll see the refund on your original source of payment (eBay funds, bank, credit card, etc) and the funds will appear in your account without an email notification.

If you submitted the void request through eBay back in July then you were probably credited and you need to look through your financial transactions. If you never submitted the void request through eBay then you're too late now as it's past the 28 day window.
