There should be a way to have a confirmed shipment for sellers, to verify that actual item displayed was sent. I do not get scammed that often , but when a buyer claims I shipped the wrong item and then ships me a completely different worthless item back; I should be procted other than reporting the buyer. Ebay should create a system to verify shipment of actual item. An extra step for sellers to take to prevent fraudulant buyers in the future. picture or for new items, maybe a barcode scan. I don't have a great solution as I could see sellers taking advantage of this, however I am sure some techy person out there could find a simple solution to solve this .

I'm don't sure what you asking but if you put the tracking number on the item you sold, click the blue option, Ebay will tell when item was shipped.

There is absolutely no way ebay can verify that a seller shipped what the listing shows, or a buyer returns the same item received. Maybe when transporter units become available eBay could set them up, and the person operating them could verify the item being sent, is what was pictured or received. Until we catch up to Star Trek tech. that ain't going to happen though.

That has happened to me twice in 15 years and in both cases sending the buyer the case number of a USPS postal inspector report, along with the info that postal fraud was a federal crime, got me a "gee I'm sorry, I'll send your item back...". responses.

^ Great idea above, I have never thought of doing that before, the only downside is this only applies to the states.

One thing I would say is that I ship items with the global shipping program , they upon receiving the item are suppose to open and make sure the correct item is being shipped. Of course they also have put a new label with different tracking on it, and it is an expensive process for the buyer who typically pays the costs. But as a seller I am fairly content with the process, since I have another level of protection to verify the correct item is being sent. I am sure this could also be applied to products inside the states, but again the costs would change and this would just push a buyer to look for a different seller, who does not have those extra costs involved.
