Using Postage on EBay

I was charged a total of 6$ to ship media mail via ebay postage your app keeps defaulting to 1oz weight and every time I change something it's back a 1oz. and there is no media mail option (this was a book) I checked with my post office and my charge was supposed to be $4.04. I if this continues i dont think I will use Ebay postage any longer.

I assume your post was in reply to what services you can only buy from the PO?

if so, your incorrect.

I buy media mail all the time through ebay and ground through Pirate Ship.

I had a Seller try to ship coins to me which only would have cost him like $5 maximum first class mail. He decided to use Media mail and guess what...they held shipment and delay by 2 weeks. They did not even move shipment until I inquired about with post office and guess what...they charge the seller an additional $16. They got the shipment to me but they will add that additional postage cost to him through ebay since he printed label there.  USPS has scanners.

He tried to tell me it was a click mistake and blame ebay. I also sell and I know u do not click media mail by mistake. He tried to save $1 on shipping and it was hassle..delay delivery and him losing money.

I would just recommend 1st class. It is not much of a difference and 1oz to 4 oz is same cost usually below $4.50 for areas in the US. It also gets it in Buyers hand much quicker. Media mail can be like 3 weeks at times.

You are indeed correct.

I think the confusion here is in

buying online VS buying directly from USPS online.

If you read the whole statement, I said you could not buy those services online through USPS. I am posting a few samples. One was 9 OZ and other 2 LB package. I did not say media mail could not be bought through eBay. Yes if listed in the correct catagory, media mail postage can be bought through eBay.

Not trying to be argumentative, but your exact words in the whole statement were " Some levels of USPS postage can't even be bought online from USPS, has to be in person. "  That is why I asked which services those were, and yes, those can be purchased online in multiple places.
