Undeliverable - returned to sender (Bay Distribution Center in Erlanger, KY)

Hi.

My package was marked as undeliverable somewhere along the way from the US to the EU and has been returned to sender - in this case to the eBay Distribution Center in Erlanger, KY.

Is there any way to contact this place? What will happen to my order? Seller says that there is no way he could get it back because eBay is handling the international shipment.

Please help.

P.S. I've tried to contact eBay help like 5 times, and what they basically say is there is nothing that they could do because my protection period has expired 😞

Many U.S. based sellers are experiencing this nightmare with eBay's shipping service & having their packages returned to them. The seller should be able to resend the package to you via USPS without any issues. eBay will not charge him for the shipping fee on the first shipment since they refused to deliver it, so once the seller gets the package returned ask to have it sent via USPS.

Was the package sent with the global shipping program or with ebay international standard delivery?

It did leave the US and at what point was it turned back? Is there information in the tracking as to why it was turned back?

@therebelslacker  was referring to when a package goes to the international standard delivery center in the US and is returned to the seller.  If your package actually left the US, the situation is likely different.  If the item was  not deliverable because there was a problem with the address, then they may deem it to be your fault.    If the item was turned back at customs in the EU then I'm not sure what happens then but its unlikely that you will be able to contact the shipper to send it back.  If it goes back to the seller which might happen, (more likely to happen with ebay international standard than with the gsp) than you and the seller will have to work something out.
